Note  59  Mathias      (09/17/08 14:36)  Upcoming Inactive User Purge

Hello Ardans,
 
Next week we will be running our inactive user daemon.  This
daemon will delete (nuke) characters who DO NOT meet 
ALL of the following criteria:
* Level 2 or higher
* 1 day of age or higher
* Have logged in during the past month
* Have logged in within the past number of days equivalent
  to the number of hours the character has aged (i.e. 50 hours
  of age allows 50 days away).
* Are in hibernation at the time of the purge.
 
In layman's terms:  If you are at least level 2, have 1 day
of age (or higher), have logged in during the past month, are
hibernated (with time left) or have more hours of age than
days away, then you have nothing to worry about.  Note that
all time relational checks (last month, etc) will be compared to
the time of the purge on September 25th, NOT necessarily
against the time that you are reading this announcement.
 
If you answered no to *all* of those questions for one of your
alts, you should log that alt in before September 25th.
 
The purpose of the purge is to free up character names that
are otherwise held by disused characters.
